At Life Community Church, we believe that God is big enough to come into anyone’s life and completely transform that life into something that honors God. No matter what we’ve done or what’s been done to us, God can redeem and restore us through the work of Jesus Christ. The following beliefs are the foundation of all that we do. 

We believe that both the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Scriptures constitute the divinely inspired Word of God. (Isaiah 28:13; Nehemiah 8:8; John 17:17; II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:3-4, 21)

We believe in one God existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

We believe in the dual nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God - that He became man without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinners. We believe in His deity, in His pre-existence, in His incarnation, in His virgin birth, and in His death and resurrection. (Matt.16:21; John 4:29, John 20:28, John 1:18, John 1:14, Luke 3:22)

We believe the Holy Spirit is sent from the Father, through the Son, in order to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort and seal those who believe in Jesus Christ. We also believe in the power of the Holy Spirit as manifested through believers. (John 15:26, 16:8, 3:3-6, 14:16-17, 14:26)

We believe that apart from the vicarious and atoning death of Jesus Christ, sinful man is hopelessly and eternally lost. Man has no means by which he alone can redeem, atone, or justify himself before God. (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:1-3)

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose atoning blood was shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. (John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8-9)

We believe in water baptism for believers, symbolizing the believer’s union in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and in the observance of the Lord’s Supper, commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind. (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34)

We believe the life of the believer is to be marked by holiness, purity, godliness, and fruit in order that he might be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. (Matthew 5:16, 1 Peter 2:12, 1 Peter 3:15)

We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in a resurrection of all believers, whose names are written in the book of life. (1 Cor. 15:3–8, 20; Acts 1:9–11; Rom. 8:34)

We believe all are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, uniquely created at conception as male and female. God has given us the covenant of marriage as a spiritual and physical union between one man and one woman, with sex beautifully and exclusively occurring within that union. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:1-9; Mark 10:1-12; Matthew 15:19, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Hebrews 13:4)
